As I thought about what to say about myself and all the many accomplishments I have made this far in my life, not one of them defined me better than my four kids and my husband. I know so cliche’. But it is the truth! I had the 8-5 corporate job with an office. I had the option to stay out late and sleep in the next morning….. uninterrupted. I had the dual income. But I traded that all in the day my first child was born. I gave up a career to be a sleep deprived, personal chef, maid, chauffeur, activity coordinator and PTA mom. But I wouldn’t change a thing…..well maybe the sleep deprived. With an 11 year old, 9 year old, and 5 year old twins there is never a dull moment in our household. Odds are in our favor that something crazy is going to be said or happen at least once in the day. And with that craziness come ideas on ways to make their childhood more memorable. I know for me, memories of my childhood are fading but there are some things that I will never forget and I am trying hard to make more of those for my children.
